Salary Band: $115,000 - $129,000
Hours: Full-Time
Contract: Until early 2028 (Maternity Leave Cover)
Location: This position will require you to travel regularly to all Sonder sites

About the Role:
As the Facilities Manager, you will lead Sonder's facilities, property and infrastructure portfolio, ensuring our sites are safe, compliant, well maintained and fit for purpose. You will oversee multi-site facilities operations, maintenance programs, capital works projects, leases, contractors and budgets, while driving continuous improvement across our assets and workplaces.
Working closely with senior leaders, you will provide strategic advice on facilities planning, infrastructure investment and property management to support organisational growth. You will also lead a high-performing Facilities team and ensure compliance with WHS, building and regulatory requirements, helping create safe and welcoming environments for staff, clients and the communities we serve.

Experience Requirements:
Extensive experience managing facilities, property and infrastructure services within a complex, multi-site environment.
Demonstrated experience leading capital works projects, including site developments, fit-outs, refurbishments and relocations from planning through to completion.
Proven experience managing budgets, procurement, tender processes, contracts and contractor performance to achieve quality and value-for-money outcomes.
Strong knowledge of facilities compliance, WHS requirements, building codes, asset management and maintenance planning.
Proven leadership experience in building, leading and developing high-performing operational teams and stakeholder relationships.
Exceptional project management, commercial and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver strategic and operational outcomes.
Qualification and Other Requirements:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Property, Building or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
Additional qualifications or professional credentials highly regarded, including:
Project management certifications (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Certificate IV or Diploma in Project Management).
Postgraduate qualifications in facilities, property or construction management.
Membership of relevant professional associations (e.g. FMA Australia, AIPM, AIB or RICS).
Contract administration or superintendent training under Australian Standard contracts.
WHS qualifications or training in construction safety and principal contractor responsibilities
Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
Current or willing to obtain a National Police Check (NPC)
Drivers License
