About the Role:
As the Early Psychosis Clinic Nurse, you will play a key role in developing and implementing the Early Psychosis Clinic, ensuring practice aligns with best-practice guidelines, national standards and the EPPIC model.
You will work closely with the Early Psychosis team to promote consistent clinic practices and ensure the clinic is effectively integrated across the service. You will coordinate and deliver clinic-based care to young people registered with the Early Psychosis service, including timely physical health assessments, metabolic screening and medication monitoring, including clozapine and depot administration.
Experience Requirements:
Demonstrated experience of 3+ years in community and/ or acute mental health settings
Confident and competent in administering depot LAI
Experience in procedure development and implementation and evaluation Knowledge and experience in using the Microsoft suite of software and databases to prove ability to use relevant information technology, electronic recording systems and data management tools.
Sound knowledge regarding a range of medications used in the mental health community setting.
Qualification and Other Requirements:
Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
Current or willing to obtain a National Police Check (NPC)
Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and holds a current unrestricted practicing certificate.
Must hold a relevant post graduate qualification in mental health nursing.
