About the Role:
Join Sonder as our Marketing & Communications Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping how we connect with our communities, partners, and stakeholders. This leadership position is responsible for developing and delivering strategic marketing and communications initiatives that enhance Sonder’s profile, strengthen our brand, and support organisational growth and impact.
As the guardian of Sonder’s brand, you will ensure consistency and excellence across all marketing, communications, and engagement activities. You will lead the planning and execution of campaigns, oversee the marketing budget, manage external partnerships, and drive innovative strategies that increase awareness of Sonder’s services and outcomes.
Leading a talented marketing and communications team, you will bring strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and creative marketing professional who is passionate about making a positive difference through impactful communications and brand leadership.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum five years' experience in marketing, communications, public relations, stakeholder engagement or a related field, including experience in a leadership or management role
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing marketing, communication and stakeholder engagement plans across multiple projects, programs or service areas.
Experience leading organisational branding, reputation management and communication initiatives.
Experience managing communication activities across digital, print, media and stakeholder engagement channels.
Experience leading and developing staff, managing workloads and fostering a high-performing team culture.
Experience managing external suppliers, agencies and service providers.
Experience monitoring, evaluating and reporting on marketing and communication performance using data and insights.
Qualification and Other Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business or a related discipline.
Relevant postgraduate qualifications and/or professional memberships will be highly regarded.
Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
Current or willing to obtain a National Police Check (NPC)
