Roles: Senior Mental Health Clinician
Contract: Full-time available (1 FTE)
Hours: The Crisis Stabilisation Centre operates 24/7, with the Senior Mental Health Clinician working across a 7-day rotating roster. No overnight shifts are required.

About the Role:
The Senior Mental Health Clinician is a key senior clinical role within the Crisis Stabilisation Centre (CSC), contributing to the broader continuum of care within the Integrated Crisis Support Hub.
The Senior Mental Health Clinician works as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver and coordinate focused crisis support, assessment, and evidence-based interventions for individuals experiencing mental health distress and/or crisis. They work in close collaboration with the Allied Health Lead, Nursing Lead Peer Lead, and Service Manager to ensure that high-quality, person-centred clinical care is integrated meaningfully into all aspects of service delivery.
The Senior Mental Health Clinician plays a pivotal role in providing clinical leadership within the team, acting as a clinical escalation point and providing practice and clinical supervision to colleagues. They are responsible for championing a recovery-oriented approach that fosters hope, self-determination, and meaningful connection to ongoing care, and for supporting the integration of clinical and lived experience perspectives across the service.
Experience Requirements:
Experience in the delivery of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and other evidence-based interventions.
Experience in assessing and treating guests with a range of mental health and/or alcohol and other drug problems.
Experience working within a fast-paced environment.
Experience working in a crisis setting and/or clinical case management is highly desirable.
Experience providing clinical supervision to colleagues is highly desirable.
Minimum of three (3) years' experience working in the area of mental health.
Minimum of two (2) years' relevant professional development and/or supervision.
Qualification and Other Requirements:
Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
Current or willing to obtain a National Police Check (NPC)
Qualified in one of the following disciplines with membership to the associated professional body: Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy
Current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
Current Child Safe Environments (Through Their Eyes) training.
Credentialing requirements:
Psychologist / Clinical Psychologist:
Approved Masters or equivalent in psychology, with two (2) or more years of experience in clinical mental health settings, preferably community based.
Registered as a psychologist with AHPRA. Clinical Psychologists must hold practice endorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia in the specialist area of clinical psychology.
Social Worker:
Accredited as a Mental Health Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), with two (2) or more years of experience in clinical mental health settings.
Occupational Therapist
Registered with AHPRA, holding an approved degree from a recognised School of Occupational Therapy, with two (2) or more years of experience in clinical mental health settings, preferably community based.
